Chris has been with us for 3 weeks and has already demonstrated his IT Sales knowledge by completing and passing the VMWare Sales Professional qualification. Chris will be working within the Matrix team over the coming months to educate companies on all the services Matrix can offer including Cloud Computing, VMWare and our fully managed IT Support packages.

As part of the Trisoft Group, we are delighted to announce we have again retained our Microsoft Gold Partner status.
Demonstrating our on going ability to deliver Microsoft projects, our commitment to training our staff and feedback from our loyal customer base, all provided the base to our renewal. As Microsoft have made the renewal process more stringent this year, we are delighted to again obtain the Gold Partner Status.
We would like to thank all of our employees and our customers who helped us with the renewal process.
Congratulations go to Lee Sweetzer and Clayton Montgomery who have both upgraded their Microsoft accreditations to become Microsoft Certified IT Professionals (MCITP) this week. This brings the number of MCITP’s in the company to three, again showing our commitment to training our staff with the latest technologies to deliver up to date solutions and support, to our customer base. Matrix Get Behind Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support is 100 years old! Over the next year we will be holding a number of events to raise money and support for this amazing charity, kicking off with a summer poker run.
The idea is that you pay to enter a team, then you are given a map to go around certain points and collect playing cards. Once you have collected all of your cards you will race to the finishing point and the team with the best hand wins! A prize will also be given to the fastest team to complete the course.
This event will be open to Matrix staff, friends, family and the public. Dates to be announced soon.

The new I pad

So its 33% thinner, 15% lighter, has two cameras for face time and videoing yourself, and a fancy cover that doubles as a stand.
All great improvements, but I want to know how many of you are wowed by this. If you have one will yours be on EBay within minutes of the launch, or do you see it as too little has changed to make it worth upgrading?
I personally am yet to dip my toe in I pad water, mainly because I knew that by the time I could afford to buy one after the initial stampede, there would be an upgrade just around the corner. But I seem to continually face that problem. Its like playing jump rope… at what point do you choose to jump in?
Please note that we at Matrix cannot sell you an I pad even if we wanted to, you will just have to join the queue outside the Apple shop like everyone else
